Yankees, Cardinals and Pirates earn walk-off wins

27 April 2018 06:45

The New York Yankees delivered one of several thrilling finishes in MLB on Thursday.

The Yankees came from behind to drop the Twins 4-3 on a three-run homer from catcher Gary Sanchez.

Pirates fans were upset when the team traded long-time center fielder Andrew McCutchen to the Giants, but Corey Dickerson has made the transition much easier for Pittsburgh with a .314 average through 22 games.

He also belted a walk-off home run to earn a 1-0 win over the Tigers.

Dexter Fowler did not quite knock one out of the park, but he did smack a single to right field in the 14th inning to give the Cardinals a 4-3 win over the Mets.

ACUNA IMPRESSES

Braves rookie Ronald Acuna is off to a fast start as he went three for four with a double, home run and two RBIs in a 7-4 win over the Reds.

Diamondbacks right fielder David Peralta went two for three with a home run, two RBIs and two walks in an 8-2 win over the Phillies.

RAMIREZ GOES HITLESS

Jose Ramirez went 0 for five with three strikeouts in the Indians' 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

MONCADA HOMERS AGAIN

White Sox infielder Yoan Moncada hit his second lead-off homer in as many days in a 6-3 win over the Royals.
